My parents are filing together, one is over 65 the other is not. Can they file the 1040-SR?

Yes they can.  The tax form is the same--only the print is larger.  Nothing to worry about.

No, both of them would need to be 65 or older to qualify to file the form 1040-SR.

Until they are they need to file the form 1040.
