Solved

My return was rejected. The code is IND-511-01. It says I can’t file single because im on my wife’s return. She also filed single and was not rejected so it’s incorrect.

How can I fix it? The code claims that the other return filed married separately. She said that she filed single. It makes more sense for us to each file single.

You can change your filing status in the My Info section of the program.

For the rejected return you should be able to follow the procedure to fix it - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/rejections/help/how-do-i-fix-a-rejected-return/01/26136

If you are legally married you cannot file as Single.  You can only file as Married Filing Jointly or Married Filing Separately.

Apparently your spouse filed as Married Filing Separately.  You have to file as Married Filing Separately, not Single.
