Question

My returns were rejected due to the AGI from last year, but it's correct. do I have to file an extension so that I have time to mail in the returns?

You cannot file an extension request, it is to late.

There is a possibility that the IRS does not have your 2020 AGI in their database

Enter a 0 (zero) for the 2020 AGI and e-file the 2021 tax return again.
