Question

My self employment says needs review but when I go to it everything looks fine, how do i fix this?

I recommend reviewing the input in each section of the self-employment section to ensure you have answered all of the questions.

 

Many times, you will need to continue beyond the actual input and expense section.  You will be prompted to answer questions regarding QBI that may still need to be answered.  If these items are not addressed, you will be prompted to review your input.  This ensures your information is accounted for and all areas where there are tax implications are addressed before your tax return is completed.

 

You can review your income, expenses, and other question prompts in the federal interview section of the program as follows:

  1. Select Income & Expenses 
  2. Select Self-employment income and expenses 
  3. Proceed through the screens to review your information regarding your business.
