My son is 20 yr old, has worked appoximately 6 mths out of the year and and lives with me. can I claim him as a dependent and he still file his own taxes

If your son was NOT a full-time student in 2022, the only way you can claim him is if he earned LESS than $4400 in 2022.  If he had more than $4400 of income he cannot be claimed as your dependent.
