Solved

My son is 21 and a full time student, he works part time and had income $6400. I support him while he is away at school. Can I claim him as a dependent?

Temporary absence from home to attend school is counted as time lived with you. If he is under age 24, full-time student and his own income did not pay more than half of his total support for the year, then he can still be your dependent.

See IRS Pub 17 Worksheet 3-1 page 30 to determine support.
