My son is a freshman in college and lives in a dorm which I pay for. How do I answer the question of how long did he live with me in 2016?
Should I be literal and say up until August when he moved to school or the whole year?
No, you would say that he lived with you all year. Temporary absences while he was away at school don't count as not living at home.
