My son's visa is J2 dependent, so he doesn't have SSN. Since my son doesn't have SSN, I can't proceed e-filing due to the error caused by the lack of his SSN. How to fix?

You can enter 999-99-9999 for your son in order to use the TurboTax program.

DO NOT FILE THE RETURN WITH THAT NUMBER

Once the return has been completed, print the return and white-out the 999-99-9999

Fill out and attach a W-7

Paper file and mail the return(s).
