My spouse and I are currently in the process of a divorce, not yet final, and we live in two different residences. Is there a way to indicate this on the tax return?

Are you fling married joint? Then you have to pick the address you want any IRS notices to go to for this year.

Note that you can deduct the mortgage insurance and property taxes for two residences so having two homes is not a problem.

If you are filing married filing separate, you can give the IRS two different addresses.
