My supplemental stock plan report and my 1099-B don't match. Which one should I report if they differ?

The information on the 1099-B is being reported to the IRS. Any differences that you report may have to be explained to them sometime in the future.

Is this an employee stock plan of some kind? Is your Human Resources or broker able to explain the differences to you?
