OHHHH BOY  !!!  The current ONLINE program is ONLY for the 2019 returns.  If you just "filed" the 2019 return using the 2018 information you got TROUBLES.

Now you wait ... if the IRS rejects the return you can change all the info to 2019 to file 2019  or just abandon the account.

If the return is accepted then you wait longer to see what the IRS does with this incorrect return.  If they actually process it and you get the refund you can amend the return.

Now for the 2018 return ... you technically have not filed it yet.  To do so will require the 2018 downloaded version and must be paper filed.   You can file the 2018 return anytime ... you do not need to wait for the erroneous 2019 return to be processed.

Don’t forget your state. And you will have to print and mail your returns.  So be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them.  You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places.  Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
