Question

My tax return is exactly 600 less than what was estimated on here, even though I supposedly qualified for an extra 600 from my last two stimulus checks?

It would seem that the IRS believes you already received that payment, or that you weren't eligible.  They will be sending you a letter.  How old were you on 12/31/2020?

I was 21 at the time, I'm not a dependent nor do I have one, I didn't make more than 75k, I entered everything right, and didn't owe anything from last year. The only thing that's peculiar to me is turbotax is what made that estimation from me getting both stimulus checks for 600, but I didn't make more than 25k either so it said I qualified for another 600. But when I checked the IRS website and recieved it, it was changed, and I can't get through to the IRS through phone so I don't understand what I'm supposed to do.

.

The Economic Recovery Credit is calculated based on the number of children under 17 years old.  You must answer the question to receive the correct amount of rebate credit. The Recovery Rebate Credit form have 2 specific questions on line 16 and 19: How much was EIP1 received, if you're married enter $2,400; second question was How much was EIP2, enter $1.200, if married. If you bypass line 16 and 19 or incorrectly entered an amount, the IRS will reconcile and will do the necessary adjustment.
