My tax return was rejected because someone already claims me, how can I change to a dependent instead and refile?

I’ve looked at the similar responses to my question and when I go to TurboTax online I don’t see an option to edit my document.

Unfortunately there is no easy option to edit the document. If someone incorrectly claimed you as a dependent you won't be able to e-file your return. You will need to print and mail it in to the IRS and it will take time to resolved. If you know who claimed you it's better to contact them and ask them to amend their return. You can call the IRS support line at 1-800-829-1040 and inform them of the situation.
