My taxes are being placed on hold as I was told because I filed for a stimulus check I need to know if the irs has figured out how to pay our taxes to us

if you did a non-filers submission to get your stimulus that was the filing of a return for 2019. so when you filed your regular 1040 for 2019 that created a second return for the same year which is what would be creating the problem. the IRS now has to take steps to make sure it doesn't issue you a second stimulus. only the IRS can tell you when it will be able to issue you your refund.
