My taxes were rejected. If I go to an accountant, will the rejection affect my new e-file

No, as far as IRS is concerned no return has been filed as your return was not accepted.

Going somewhere else and resubmitting through someone else will be just like it was completed for the first time. 

I do encourage you to review what the error was regardless of what you do, so it does not happen again.  

If you submit a question with the error codes we could help you fix it, so it could be resubmitted.
