My W2 says NEW YORK CITY under locality name, but we moved 6 months ago. Will this affect my return?

My W2 says NEW YORK CITY under locality name, but we moved 6 months ago. Will this affect my return? My address in box e/f is correct and our new address but it still says NEW YORK CITY under locality name in box 20. Do I need to call HR to fix this? Will it affect my tax return on turbotax? Thanks!

Talk to the employer. Find out if they withheld local tax for NYC for all of 2022 or if they stopped withholding when you told them you moved. That amount in box 20 shows how much was withheld in the tax year but does not indicate how many months the employer withheld it over. You might need to file a part year city return to recover some from the city.
