Question

My wife got paid, by check, as a yoga instructor. At one location, she made 550.00. The place said they did not create a w2 because her pay was so low, Since she did not receive a W2 does she have to declare that money?

It doesn't sound like she was an employee.  It seems your wife is self-employed, and yes, she should report all of her income.  You can enter that income into TurboTax under Self-Employment/Business Income.  There is a section called "General Income' under 'Business Income' that is for reporting cash and check income not reported on a 1099-MISC.
