Click her name in MY INFO and go through those screens again.  You must have clicked something accidentally that told the software she is a non-resident, etc.

I've tried to get back to the "Nonresident Alien or Dual-Status Alien as a US Resident" question to see how I answered it or the Personal Information screen to see what I may have previously answered that would result in this question.  Any help on how to get back to that question?  My wife is and has been a US citizen since the 80s.

To get back to the personal information form and review the entries for your wife:

    1. Open your return
    2. Go to My info
    3. Edit the entries as necessary by your wife's name

The question you are looking for is in the page "Let's check for some other situations"

How do I update my TurboTax account info?

The only way you should see that question is if you select that your spouse was a non-resident alien or dual resident alien.

Please go back through that interview and do not select that box, uncheck it.

I've been using Turbo Tax for years.
I am careful when I clicked the boxes and I most certainly did not click the resident alien box.
I definitely clicked "None of the above."

And, now, going back through the questions just to make sure, "None of the above" is the one that's clicked.

My wife hyphenated her name: so yah, it's a hyphenated Hispanic name.

I urge caution to EVERYONE reading this who's in the same situation to take every precaution possible under this administration, especially considering that DOGE just got access to our information from the IRS (which is illegal -- like it matters at this point).
