New York requires e-file. I created my wife's NYS return. I also do our Married filing joint return. My concern is that both Fed Returns will exist. Is this a problem?

To do my wife's NYS return I pro-forma a Fed Married filing separate return for her. NYS requires e-filing if you use software to file. Will both Fed Tax 1040's create issues & problems?

    If you cannot efile the MOCK federal return associated with the MFS state then you MUST mail it in ... this is an allowed exception for NY.
