New York State Recommended Quarterly Estimate Payments
Turbo Tax recommends splitting the New York estimate between State and Local (NYC) with one-third State and two-thirds City.
In the past I have been applying the full estimate to State and none to the City. No issue was ever presented by the New York State when doing this.
Can I continue to apply the full amount to the State - or is there a downside when the quarterly payments and annual return are reviewed and evaluated?
