NJ Non-Resident Tax Form Including Roth IRA Withdrawals

Hello,

I filed both NY and NJ state tax returns. I live in NY but work in NJ. I made Roth IRA withdrawals that are included in both NY and NJ state returns and I am unable to remove them from the NJ state return.

I spoke with customer service and they did not know how to adjust it through the system. Please advise.

You can prepare the federal return and leave the ROTH IRA distributions off. Then, file your New Jersey return. Next, enter the ROTH IRA distributions on your federal return and file your federal and New York returns.

Hello,

This didn't work. As soon as I input my roth ira information it automatically populates to NJ tax return. What should I do?

Thanks,
