IS THE REST OF THE PRODUCT THIS BAD? SEVERAL LINKS ABOUT CONTACT INTUIT TO DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE. EVERYONE GOES TO UNRELATED INFO. LIKE BUY A CD. BUT TURBOTAX STATES ON WEB SITE NO PROBLEM TURBOTAX GET INFO FROM PRODUCT YOU BOUGHT TO ENABLE DOWNLOAD.

If you bought a TurboTax CD at Costco and don't have a CD/DVD drive, there may be a piece of paper inside the box that tells you how to phone to get a download.  If not, here's how to contact TurboTax by phone to request a download.

Use the form at the link below to schedule a call back, or it may provide a number.  Hours are 5AM-9PM Pacific (8AM-12 Midnight Eastern) 7 days/week.

Since you may need to install other software in the future, you could purchase an external CD/DVD-ROM device, if you wish, which costs maybe $20-25, or you can contact TurboTax Support to request a download.

TurboTax Support is closed until Wed., December 27 due to Christmas holidays.

Use the form at the link below to schedule a callback. However, you won't be able to proceed until they are open, so there's no need to try until Dec. 27. This time of year they are open 5AM-5PM Pacific (8AM-8PM Eastern) Mon-Fri.

Yes, many are disappointed when they purchase a CD (when they don't have a CD drive) expecting a download code to be in the box like other programs these days. One year TT will get up to speed and provide the code.

Another quicker method is to use another computer to copy the *.exe installation file from the CD Rom to a flash/thumb/usb drive, then insert that drive into the first computer and install from the flash/thumb/usb drive. Do not try to run the install file from the removable medium.

Costco CD's usually have a paper inside the box telling you how to get a download - at least they did last year.
