No place to add FEIN for 1099-INT or 1099-DIV

I have several 1099 forms that must be entered manually. The institution is not on the import list.  When entering the info, there is a box to enter the name of the payor but no box to enter its FEIN.  This info must be included. How do I enter this info?

Yes, Interest Dividends are matched, but against your Social Security Number. The issuer of the forms report the income under your social security number. An EIN is generally needed when there are tax witholdings; and Interest and Dividends generally do not have tax withholdings.

Make sure you are entering these in the right places. When entering Interest and Dividends, an EIN is not reported. You will find the correct places to enter these under Wages and Income.

I'm not sure I understand your reply.  I think we agree that there is no box to input the FEIN of the payor, just the name of the payor.  My understanding is that an FEIN must be included in the info in order for the IRS system to match up the 1099 in their records with what is listed in my return. Do you agree?
