Normally when i file my return it only takes the IRS a few moments to process my return, Why am I still showing as pending?

Yes, it usually takes 24 to 48 hours for the IRS to accept an e-filed return, but there are times when it's faster or slower than that.

If it's been less than four days, I'd just give it a bit more time.
