Hello experts, I moved to New York in June this year. I made all my income after moving to new york. So on form IT-360.1, I enter the full amount of my total wage.,but it says a number I entered on my NY return in IT-260 Line 1b is higher than the amount of wage income allocated to new york state on it-203, while the numbers match perfectly. What do I do?

First double check your entry information.  Your New York and City numbers (Boxes 16 & 18 on your W-2) should not be greater than box 1.  Also, check any miscellaneous income and the allocation you made to the state.

Form IT -360-1 is Change of City Resident Status.  The Total income is on line 16.

Form IT 260 is New York State and New York City Surety Bond Form Change of Resident Status – Special Accruals. I don't see any line.  I don't see any line numbers: however, this may be the issue:  Whereas the tax for such taxable period prior to the change of residence would have been increased by the amount of $_________ if such election had not been made

I expect this should be "0".

Form IT 203 is Nonresident and Part-Year Resident Income Tax Return.  I expect the entry would be in Box 1.

You will have to pay for TurboTax to see these forms.  You can do this without filing your returns.
