How can I find what TurboTax uses to populate NY State IT Form 225 Line 10a S-121 for NY State subtractions

Also How can I find what Turbo Tax uses to calculate NY State IT Form 201 Interest income on government bonds.

I am worried that I may have entered some Treasury interest 2x .  Thanks

Speaking from experience on VA side I have not seen any simple way to see this and I assume all states behave similarly.  I keep track separately in excel my total US gov obligations expected from whatever source - 1099-INT Box 3, 1099-DIV Box 1a % of US gov obligations etc, 1099-OID Box 8 - and come up with a total I expect, and if state doesn't reconcile to that have to go back thru the 1099s to find the error.

If you're able to get to the Schedule B worksheet that will have a summary of your 1099s with these boxes which may help.  In desktop that's available in Forms mode, not sure equivalent in TT online but if you have copy of your return "with all forms and worksheets" there may be something helpful in there.

Same issue with additions to state income for out-of-state munis.

You can view your forms using TurboTax Desktop by selecting forms in the upper right corner.  Then, you can choose your New York forms to see the calculations.  If you are using TurboTax Online, you can follow these steps:

    1. From the left rail menu in TurboTax Online, select Tax Tools (You may have to scroll down on the left rail menu.)
    2. Select Tax Tools
    3. On the drop-down select Tools
    4. On the pop-up menu titled “Tools Center”, select View Tax Summary
    5. On the left sidebar, select Preview my 1040
