I have an old PC that I have always used for TurboTax. I’m afraid it won’t last much longer. Can I switch over to my iPad and get all the files from before? I would really appreciate not having to reenter all of my information.

No, you cannot use TurboTax Desktop on an iPad. You can only use the Online web version or the mobile app on an iPad. However, you can log into TurboTax Online with the same account via multiple platforms, including an iPad45. You just need to make sure you are logging into the account with the same user ID and password.

you can transfer the tax files for 2021-2024 to a new full PC or MAC (

you can reinstall the apps for 2021-2024

earlier years are not supported.  so you will not be able to open a 2020 tax file even on your old computer.

after finishing each year you should save a PDF copy of your return on your computer and a second storage device. hard drives go bad.
