Question

On "Let's Confirm Your Taxable State Wages from <company>" I see both my and my wife's wages. Her page also shows both. Do I uncheck both wages on both pages?

On "Let's Confirm Your Taxable State Wages from MY COMPANY " I see both my and my wife's wages. I worked in NJ and three other states. My wife only worked in NJ. On "Let's Confirm Your Taxable State Wages from WIFE COMPANY" I see both my and my wife's wages as well. Do I uncheck both my and my wife's NJ wages on both her page and mine? The pages are misleading.

For NJ, it lists all income. If the income is NOT taxable to NJ, you must check the box to remove the wages.

Your resident state will tax all income and give you a credit for income taxed by another state. Prepare all the nonresident states first. You will need to review your tax forms to get the right state taxable income and liabilities for your resident state return.

To print or view  your forms, including all worksheets:

  • In desktop, switch to Forms Mode.
  • For online:
    1. On the left side, select  Tax Tools
    2. Select Print center
    3. Select Print, save or preview this year's return
    4. If you have not paid, select pay now.
