Tax Payment Worksheet: Line 1 State ID must be entered if a State payment is entered.  Where do I find that number?

Best answer by SteamTrain

The "ID" for that sheet is the two-letter abbreviation for the state..not a number

i.e. NY -= New York

When you entered your estimated tax payments, you forgot to indicate which state you paid the estimate to.

@TomCanton   Where do you need to enter it?  The posts above are over 5 years old.

A prompt came up for something called "Interest Income Worksheet"  with a small box that only accepts 2 digits or places.  This is for the state of Pennsylvania.
