On TT2022 my password to access past information failed. I believe I have the correct password. What can I try to fix this?

I use TT on a Mac. I recently upgraded to Big Sur to use TT2022. In the process I had to wipe my hard disk, so earlier years of the TT app are no longer on my Mac. Could this contribute to the problem?
