Original Return Payment Worksheet in Turbo Tax Online for Amendments?

Complicated situation:

I filed 2024 taxes Jointly (using Turbo Tax Online), but due to a mix-up didn't include all of my spouse's earnings.
My spouse filed Separately, and their federal was accepted and paid. Their state was rejected.

I am trying to amend my return to correctly include my spouse's earnings and info, but I can't find where to include the amount they already paid to the IRS. The forum/help posts say to find the "Original Return Payment Smart Worksheet" in "Forms", but I cannot find other forms/worksheets through Turbo Tax Online for the life of me.

How do I find these worksheets and fix this?

Your right this can be complicated, but we can sort it out.

Who is "their" as stated above.?

Let's start with the federal return.

Your wife's federal return was accepted.
You can file an original return Married Filling Separate and be done with it.
Or Mail an amended joint return showing that she has already received the refund.

It doesn't sound like either of the state returns were accepted.

You can file the state based on what you decided above

My problem is complicated, but the solution I need should not be.

Where in Turbo Tax Online do I include what amount was ALREADY PAID to the IRS for a federal return? That is the ONLY thing I need to know.

When I go to amend my return, there is no space or option to include "taxes already paid." My spouse and I BOTH had our federal files accepted. MY state was accepted. My SPOUSE'S state was not (because their SSN was included on my Joint return), hence why I am amending my filing. My spouse already paid the amount for federal when they submitted SEPARATELY, but now that I am trying to amend mine for both of us (to file JOINTLY), there is NO OPTION to state that they ALREADY paid. We both OWED and PAID federal for 2024, but when amending the only option Turbo Tax is giving us is for my spouse to pay their federal due tax AGAIN, ON TOP of what they already paid. There is seemingly no option to state what was already paid to the IRS, and that is what I need.

You should wait until your original return has been fully processed. This means if you sent in a payment, the IRS has processed the payment. Once the payment has been processed, the information will transfer to your amended return when you start the amendment as long as you use the account you filed the original return with. You can confirm this by reviewing line 16 on the 1040x. Any additional balance due will be reported on line 20 of the 1040x.
