Other Income does not allow me to enter my 1099 Misc-other income. It is not from self-employment. When do I enter it?

The system will not allow me to enter my other income. It is not self-employment.
Other Income keeps sending me back to self-employment. How do I get this amount entered?

You should enter this income in the "Other Common Income" category under the "Income & Expenses" tab. There you will be asked questions to identify the income as "not" from a job.

Note: One of the questions there will be how often do you receive this pay. If you got it in earlier years and/or expect it in future years, it may still be classified as a job income.
