Hi, I used a service to send my tax payment in to the IRS, but I made a typo and overpaid. For example, If I owed $1,000 according to my tax return, I accidentally sent in $2,000. Is there a way to request a refund of that overpayment? Thanks
Yes. If you just overpaid, the IRS should
actually send you back your money. If you made a mistake and need to
