Overpayment from previous year

I made a mistake on my check to the IRS in 2021, and I payed $300 more than my 1040 indicated I should pay. How can I claim this back on my 2022 taxes?

    If you overpaid the IRS, your overpayment will be applied to any tax debts (if applicable) and the excess will automatically be refunded to you.
