Paying Taxes Via Turbo Tax and Checking Account: No Payment Made

During the time I filed my tax returns, I arranged with Turbo Tax to pay my State taxes due on 2/28/25. Four days after, the payment has not been deducted from my personal checking account. Will Turbo Tax facilitate this payment as planned, or do I need to make another arrangement to pay my taxes?

Turbo Tax doesn’t pay the tax due. How is it supposed to be paid? Turbo Tax only sends the bank info to the state for the state to pull it out of your account. You might need to check with the state.

Check the printout or PDF of your return; look for the state cover sheet with the Turbotax logo. If you owed tax, it will show the payment information and how/when you decided to pay. Read the state payment instructions carefully since most states cannot be paid from within the TT system and requires additional steps.
