All of my income in 2019 was from and while living in a foreign country. The foreign tax I paid on this income is greater than 4 times what federal tax in the USA would be,.

That being said when I enter my foreign tax paid the number for foreign taxes in 2019 stays at 0$

@mnissov , are you US citizen/Resident ( Green Card)/ Resident for tax purposes ?  If you are not a citizen or a Green Card holder when did you enter the USA? and with what visa?   If you are citizen/Green Card holder, when did you enter the foreign country where you earned an income ( i.e. your foreign residency start date) and when did you leave ( if you are back in the USA?  Were you employed by a local entity / whole owned subsidiary of a US entity? or by US defense/US govt or what ?  You said you paid taxes to a foreign taxing administration -- was this as income tax or something else? Which country did you earn in?  ( one or more ?).  Are you married?  Did your family live with you abroad or did your spouse stayed back in the USA and you are filing jointly with the spouse?
