My daughter who was 23 at the end of 2024 was a part-time student in 2024 but only earned $8,800 at her job for the year. She lives with me for the entire year. Why can't I claim her as a dependent?

Click her name in MY INFO and go through the screens again. We have been seeing users who missed an important screen. Watch for the one titled "Less Common Situations" and make sure you clicked that she was a full-time student. If she was less than a full-time student, she earned too much and cannot be claimed.
