Quick Employer Forms inaccessible from TurboTax Self-Employed

So, when trying to access the Quick Employer Forms page from TurboTax Self-Employed, I am asked to purchase TurboTax Home&Business even though TurboTax Self-Employed should be sufficient.

Figured that I need to pay for TurboTax Self-Employed prior to accessing Quick Employer Forms - which I did (managed to pay for federal).  Still no luck.

What is the problem?  I cannot be the only one experiencing this issue!

Found the answer to my own problem:  There can be a delay of more than one hour between paying for TurboTax Self-Employed and gaining access to the 'Quick Employer Forms' webpage.  You just have to wait until the payment information gets transmitted (don't be in a hurry though!)

Feedback to Intuit:

  • The documentation says that TurboTax Self-Employed will provide automatic access to Quick Employer Forms.  However, when one connects to the Quick Employer Forms webpage, there is a link trying to upsell to TurboTax Business.  This creates confusion as it is not necessary to purchase TurboTax Business to gain access to Quick Employer Forms.
  • In order to pay for TurboTax Self-Employed before one finishes the tax return, one has to pretend to file the return.  There is no function where you can just pay!  But without paying, I can't get access to Quick Employer Forms.  It's a catch-22.  Intuit, please make this process more straightforward and easier to use!
  • I remember the times when one could speak to a human being to get tech support.  Now, you will have to tackle this maze of links, searches, forums that lead to nowhere.  Very frustrating.  Intuits webpages look nice and modern, but it is a huge challenge to find information that is relevant.  A lot of the user posts seem outdated, too.
