I just got my IRS letter wanting form q095-A and form 8962.

I am panicking trying to figure out how to get the info needed to send to them.

Went to the healthcare.gov site and feel like i have been running in circles trying to retrieve my info so that i can submit it.

I needed my return to catch up on bills and am now stick looking at an extended wait time, ONCE i finally figure out how to get the forms....to even think about getting a refund.

Plus the threat from IRS that if i dont file it promptly they can reduce my refund. Nice job, TurboTax. Are we supposed to intuitively know about the need for different forms? This site is supposed to be simple to follow and fool proof.

Once you have your form 1095-A you will sign in to TurboTax and click "Add a State."  This will allow you back into your return to make entries without amending your return.  Once in the return,

    1.  Click "Federal" in the left hand menu

    2.  Click "Deductions & Credits" at the top of the page

    3.  Scroll down to "Medical"

    4.  Click "Show More"

    5.  Find the "Affordable Care Act (form 1095-A)"

    6.  Start/Revisit

    7.  Make the entries from your 1095-A

Then to print the form 8962

    1.  Click "Tax Tools" in the left hand menu

    2.  Click "Print Center" in the left hand menu

    3.  Follow prompts to "View/download"

    4.  Once downloaded open the PDF and find/print the form 8962

Respond per the IRS letter with a copy of the 8962 and a copy of the 1095A.
