received 1099-OID had data only in box 1.

The company that supplied the 1099-OID to our LLC transferred funds to our LLC and indicated that they were a reduction in principal as opposed to interest payments. The provided OID only has data in Box 1. Box 2 is empty. How do I treat that on the 1065?

The Form 1099-OID is reported like interest and Box 1 is interest income for your tax return, even if you didn't receive it yet.

Good Day.

I had an issue with a 1099 OID, where the jump to did not work. We had just entered in the 1099 OID seach. That did not work. I found this resources that indicates, you must use exact wording. to do so. I hope this helps anyone else that is having issues entering in the form for the 1099 OID.

Please Search- 1099 OID original issue discount. then do the Jump too.
