Question

Receiving Tax Docs from UK Based Client?

I'm a self-employed freelancer. I'm a US resident but last year I did a lot of work for a client in the UK (the work I did for them was here in the US, I wasn't traveling for the work). For most of my US clients I send them a W-9 and receive a 1099-NEC form, but I didn't receive any forms from this client. Do I need to request any forms from them? Or should I just go ahead and report the income I received from them under general self-employed income?

The UK client will not provide US forms generally. You should claim the income as cash earned/ received in your business return.
