Recovery rebate

My daughters father and I alternate claiming our child. In 2019, I claimed her and my son. So it’s his year to claim our daughter. BUT I also had a baby in 2020. Recovery rebate credit shows I’m not owed anything for new baby even though I am. I received $2,200 the first time (which was for myself, my daughter and my son). I received $1,800 the second time (which was for myself, my daughter and my son). So when I update my taxes to remove my daughter (since her father can claim her) and I put my son and new baby and the amount I received they say that is correct. But they are going off of 2 dependents and myself. I received no stimulus money for baby at all. Have a total of 3 children, only claiming 2 this year. Please help. (They should ask for more information instead of just amount received)

The stimulus payments are based on the number of dependents claimed on your tax return for 2020, not the identity of those dependents. Since you are claiming 2 dependents in 2020, you are due stimulus payments based on 2 dependents, which is what was paid to you already.

You claimed 2 dependents on your 2019 return, and received an advance stimulus payment for them, assuming you would claim the same number of dependents in 2020, which you did, so no additional stimulus payments are due you.
