Refund monitor not zeroing out for amending a 2023 return

Amending 2023 return for updated K-1 - I have tried doing this multiple times but the refund monitor does not zero out. However, it lets me amend the K-1 details and shows I am ready to file but does not have 1he 1040X and corresponding state tax amendment forms. It shows the amounts as if I am filing a new return as I have already paid my taxes for this year in April.

If you are using one of the TurboTax desktop editions, use this procedure to start an amended tax return -

Continue the tax return that you want to amend

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home & Business)

Click on Other Tax Situations

Under Other Tax Forms

On Amend a return, click on the start button

Thanks - I know where to go to amend the previously filed tax return and my challenge is with the refund monitor not starting with zero when I start amending the return.
