Question

Refunds are lower this year. I usually get around $800, now barely $300 for same amount of income. Why?

Also, SS is only supposed to tax half amount received, but TT ask for full amount. Is it all going to be taxed?

It is almost impossible for explain the variation in refunds without looking at your tax returns for both years.

As for SS income, you have to enter the full amount and TurboTax will calculate the taxable portion.
