Reporting W-2 pension from a NQ deferred Comp Plan
How can I get my W-2 line 1 and line 11 info to Schedule 1 line 8t instead of 1040 line 1a for a pension from a NQ deferred compensation plan?
Don't enter it into the W2 section. Go all the way to the bottom of the wages and income section of your tax return and enter it in the miscellaneous income section. You can enter the description as well and it will enter it into line 8 of form 1040.
