residential clean energy credit - multiple years

I installed solar in 2022 and took the residential clean energy credit.

I want to add more panels this year. Can I take the residential clean energy credit in 2025 for the additional panels?

I suppose yes, but I could not find a definitive answer

Unlike some of the other home energy credits, there is not a lifetime limit imposed on the credit related to solar installations.  As long as you are adding additional capacity to your system, then you should be eligible for the 30% credit when you file your 2025 tax return.

Sorry did not answer my question about expanding (adding more panels) an existing system.
