Review old tax returns

I have been filing my own taxes from 2015-2019 and I want to have a tax expert bulk review all my old tax returns to see if I missed any deductions or over paid anything.

Does the IRS have any deadline to how far back I can try to reclaim any over payment in my previous tax returns?

Is this something common? What is the formal IRS process to proceed with this type of reviews?

Thanks for any insights.

You only have 3 years to claim a refund.  So only back to 2017.  You can amend your returns to correct them.  Amending is common.
