RSU on W2 Question Relating to 1099-B/Cost Basis

This is always so confusing. I have an amount in box 14 on a W2 listed as RSU. I also received a 1099-B as well as a separate document giving me my cost basis.

The amount in box 14 does not match any of the numbers in the 1099-B or cost basis.

What do I need to do (if anything) with the amount in box 14 on the W2 listed as RSU if I have already input the 1099-B with the correct cost basis (given to me by the company).

Thanks

Box 14 is how payroll tells you the amount that was added in to your box 1 wages. This is your part of the basis that is not always included on the 1099-B, so a double check is always advised.

If yours is correct and entered, you are good to go.
