I am running TurboTax Premier - did a transfer of last year's 2020 return in and missing data on schedule E as I generate my 2021 return.  I have 5 rental houses on last year's return, and only 4 houses are transferring in.  I opened lasts years return in TT format and the pdf and verified I had 5 houses on the 2020 return.  I retried the transfer, and 4 of 5 houses transferred in again.  Any thoughts?  Thx for the help!!!

When one has multiple rentals, this seems to be happening sporadically, yet not enough to really troubleshoot the issue. All you can really do is manually enter the history data for the one it's not importing. That would be the prior year's depreciation and carry over losses on that one property.

To get the correct prior year depreciation to manually enter into the 2021 return, you have to add together the amounts on the 2020 return for prior year and current year.

If you have any PAL carryovers, the total will be on the 8562 from the 2020 return.
