I had rental property that burned in 2019. I took the depreciation on the house. I sold the land in 2020. When I started my turbo 2020 turbo asked if I tried to rent this same rental property all year of course the answer is No. After I answered no, the rental unit was removed. Since it has been removed because I did not try to rent it in 2020 (I sold it) I do not see where the property went, or how I am to report the sale since it was removed because I answered that I did  did not try to rent the property. Don't know how to report the sale since the rental property has disappeared since I did not try to rent it all year.

You have to lie and say yes to get far enough into the program to report the sale, then you can go back through and say no.

If you are on desktop and can start again, that may be easier. If online, you will need to enter the information again.
